# Forms and Exports Status

> Forms remain a planned module while exports are a live reporting surface.

Forms and exports are no longer in the same maturity bucket. Forms remain a planned module, while exports are now a live reporting surface.

## Forms

Visible pages:

* `Custom Forms` in primary navigation
* `Settings > Forms`

Current state:

* these pages exist as placeholders
* template building is not yet available
* submission review is not yet available

Planned direction:

* form templates
* dynamic submissions
* signatures
* notifications
* recurring forms
* approvals
* public submission links

## Exports

Visible pages:

* `Exports` in primary navigation
* export history on the Exports page
* export job summary on the dashboard

Current state:

* chemical-record CSV export is live
* compliance-incident-history CSV export is live
* IDPH daily operational report PDF export is live
* export job history is active

Planned direction:

* inspection packet exports
* form exports

## How to explain this to users

If you are documenting the system internally, describe Forms and Exports as:

* forms: visible but not production-ready
* exports: live for chemical/compliance reporting, with broader packet/form exports still planned
